Princeton City Council member Victoria Hallin has been charged in Sherburne County District Court with two counts of DWI stemming from a Friday, Oct. 4 incident on Highway 169 in Elk River.
Hallin was pulled over at about 5:30 a.m. after Elk River Police officers observed Hallin driving over the center line and the fog line. Arrests records showed that Hallin did not initially stop when officers attempted to pull her over.
Police took Hallin to a hospital in Monticello where she had blood drawn to determine her blood alcohol level. Elk River Police officials said the tests came back from the state crime lab and showed Hallin had a BAC in excess of the .08 legal limit.
She was subsequently charged on October 25 with DWI- under the influence of alcohol, and DWI- .08 or more within two hours of driving. Both charges are misdemeanors. Hallin was also charged with a lane violation for driving out of a traffic lane. That charge is a petty misdemeanor.
