The Princeton girls cross country squad placed ninth and the boys were 13th when the stacked 2013 Section 7AA championships were run on the Cloquet Country Club layout Oct. 24, with several members posting their top 4K and 5K times.
The Tiger girls team was led once again by Sam Swedzinski who ran a personal-best time of 15:52, placing 21st overall. Maddy Jung turned in the Tigers’ next best time of 16:27, good for 39th. Emily Krusheck was 3rd with a personal-best 16:36 for 47th place. Mady Shafer’s PB time of 16:50 had her in 53rd place. Princeton’s fifth runner was Breanna Schultz in 56th place with a time of 16:52. The varsity team was completed with runs from Ashley Urman (17:15) and Audrey Scott (17:24).
The Princeton boys were led by senior combo Nick Langenfeld and Michael Huebsch. Langenfeld finished first on the boys team with a personal-best time of 18:22 (58th). Huebsch placed 59th with a time of 18:25. Josh Cassiday finished in 67th at 18:35, and senior Brendan Carlson came in with a time of 18:44 (71st). The fifth runner for Princeton was senior Nikita Pelletier with a PB time of 19:13. Also competing were Tucker Bell (21:19) and Jordan Smith (21:51).
The Chisago Lakes boys and Forest Lake girls earned the team championships at the 7AA run.
