Frances Roxbury

Frances Arlaine Roxbury, age 94 of Princeton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at Fairview Northland Hospital in Princeton.
Frances was born Oct. 15, 1918 in Superior, Wis., to John and Mamie (Lundquist) Marcinak. She was united in marriage to John A. Roxbury Sr. on Aug. 12, 1942 in Tampa, Fla.
Frances was an elementary school teacher, teaching in Trout Creek, Mich. and Superior, Wis., as well as in Onamia and Princeton until her retirement in 1984.
John Sr. and Frances moved the family from Onamia to Princeton in 1967. She was active in the family business of Onamia Motors and later, Roxbury Motors. She was a very determined and independent person who lived for her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and playing the piano and organ.
Frances is survived by her children John A. Roxbury Jr. of Princeton, Joan (Thomas) Verdon of Colorado Springs, Colo., James (Beverly) Roxbury of Princeton and Jane (Larry) Ziebarth of Princeton; granddaughters Paula (Eric) Sayer of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kristina Herrington of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Jolene (Paul) McKenzie of Willmar; grandson,Jay (Lisa) Roxbury of Princeton; great grandchildren Brittney, Morgan, Kirsten, Tori, Ryan, Adelynn, Trevor, Gabriel, and Julianna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John A. Roxbury Sr., and grandson Robert J. Holt.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Onamia. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Onamia. Arrangements entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton.
