Lorraine J. Anderson, age 87, of Princeton passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at the Elim Home in Princeton. Lorraine was born on Oct. 13, 1925 in Princeton, MN the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Roadstrom) Moline. Lorraine grew up on a farm in Karmel Township and loved life out on the farm. She was united in marriage to James W. Anderson at Karmel Covenant Church in 1947. Together they raised a family in Brooklyn Center.
Lorraines number one love was for her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and taught her grandchildren cross-stitch. Lorraine had the gift of hospitality and was a great hostess to anyone who came her way. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed welcoming people into her home for dinner. A few hobbies she enjoyed were painting and ceramics. Lorraine was very caring and accepting of people. Lorraine was a very strong, positive person and was a great role model to her family in that way.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter Mary Jo Anderson Briggs of Big Lake; grandchildren, Keith (Jennifer) Briggs of Eagan, Lori (Travis) Hochhalter of Alexandria, Scott (Georgette) Briggs of NE Mpls, Bryan (Sheila) Anderson, Steven Anderson and Jeff (Jill) Anderson, all of Oregon; sister Joyce Lee; niece Patricia Lee; nephew Kent (Connie) Lee; along with many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James; children Steven Keith Anderson and Douglas James Anderson; brother Donald Moline; brother-in-law Russell Lee.
A Celebration of Lorraines Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Karmel Covenant Church in rural Princeton, MN. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Karmel Covenant Cemetery in rural Princeton, MN.
