Robert Bob H. Lindquist, age 88 of Princeton, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at the Elim Home in Milaca.
Bob was born on July 15, 1925 in Minneapolis to Henry & Clara (Anderson) Lindquist. Bob grew up in Minneapolis. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard for three years, serving in the Philippines. He was united in marriage to Nancy Kidder on February 3, 1951 in South St. Paul. He and Nancy lived in Minneapolis until moving up to their cabin on Green Lake in 1967. He worked at Durkee-Atwood in Minneapolis until his retirement in 1983. After retirement he had a small engine and lawn mower repair business.
Bob was very active in the Princeton American Legion and VFW. He was a very hard worker and loved to spend his time wood carving, hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed trips up north in the Aitkin area with his family and friends. He and Nancy enjoyed spending their winters in Yuma, Ariz. for many years.
Survivors include his wife Nancy of Princeton, daughters, Sandra (Leroy) George of Princeton; Susan (Tom) Shetler of Eagan; Kathy Hagemeister of Princeton; grandchildren Christine, Joyce, Carolyn, Nicholas, Steven, Amanda, and Luke. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Sydney, Owen, and Lily.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mary Ellen Moore and sisters Janet Welch and Marion Hall.
Funeral services will be 10:30a.m. Monday Oct. 21 at the Williams Dingmann Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 20 and 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home in Princeton. Burial will be at the Oak Knoll Cemetery in Princeton.
