Tiger CC runs hard at Becker Invite

Princeton cross country competed in the Oct. 3 Becker Invite, with the varsity girls placing fifth and the boys seventh.

Leading the Tiger girls at Becker were Sam Swedzinski  (7th, 16:13), Ashley Urman (18th, 17:00) and Emily Kruschek (19th, 17:01). Michael Huebsch paced the Tiger boys at 18:39, good for 18th place.

Maddy Jung won the JV girls race at 16:54. Brendan Carlson was second in the JV boys race at 19:10.

On Oct. 5, the Tigers ventured north or the Swain Invite in Duluth. The varsity girls were 17th out of 25 teams in the Class AA race, led by Swedzinski (17:07), Jung (18:05), Kruschek (18:06) and Mady Shafer (18:21). The Princeton boys were 26th, with Josh Cassiday (19:23) and Huebsch (20:04) leading the way.

The Tigers next will run in the Oct. 15 Mississippi 8 Finals hosted by St. Francis on The Ponds Golf Course.
