A 20-year-old Foley man is in Mille Lacs County Jail for allegedly beating an elderly Princeton couple.
Cody R. Christle is charged in Mille Lacs County Court with third-degree assault, causing bodily harm, and two felony counts of domestic assault.
On Oct. 26 Christle went to a home on 55th Street in rural Princeton where he allegedly became involved in a domestic assault. He beat an elderly man after accusing the man of calling 911, according to a criminal complaint filed in Mille Lacs County District Court.
When deputies arrived on scene they allegedly found a 70-year-old woman on the floor in the kitchen of the residence with blood on her arm and food on her shirt. The deputy observed food all over the living room and in the kitchen. There was food on the floor and walls. There were also broken items on the floor, the complaint states.
An 80-year-old man was also identified at the residence. The man had a black-and-blue eye and there was a cut under the eye that was bleeding. The man was having trouble breathing, the complaint states.
Authorities later learned that the man suffered a broken nose, broken bones in an eye socket and bruised ribs.
Christle was not at the residence when deputies arrived on scene. He was later arrested at St. Cloud Hospital where he had gone to seek medical attention. He was then booked into the Mille Lacs County Jail.
