Czech aircraft builder looks at Princeton

City officials met Dec. 2 with representatives of a Malaysian company, Euroala, that owns 70 percent of Evekor, a company that operates a aircraft manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic.

According to minutes of the Dec. 2 airport advisory board meeting, the meeting was arranged by former Princeton Mayor Richard Anderson. Euroala is looking to open a plant to build a twin-prop, nine-seat, EV-55 airplane in the United States, and Princeton is one of the sites the company is considering, airport advisory board minutes state.

City Administrator and airport manager Mark Karnowski told the board that the city will be putting together a competitive proposal with incentives for the company to consider.
