Edward Jenson

Edward Ed James Jenson, age 81, of Foley, died peacefully with his family by his side, at home on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014.
Ed was born March 18, 1932 in St. Cloud, the son of Melvin and Ida (Woolhouse) Jenson. He was baptized and confirmed at Glendorado Lutheran Church and on June 3, 1972, he was united in marriage to Diane Orton at Glendorado Lutheran Church. Ed remained devoted to his parish; he was also a bell ringer, head usher and a church council member.
He enjoyed his daily activities as a farmer, milking cows his entire life. Ed was quick-witted and enjoyed giving those around him a hard time, earning him the nickname Trouble. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and watching his son play softball, and also loved old-time dancing at the Foley Legion. Ed found the most enjoyment from spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He loved to watch his grandchildren grow and play sports.
Ed is survived by his wife Diane of Foley; son Nathan (Sarah) Jenson of Foley; and grandchildren Aleesha, Tyler and Jordan Jenson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Ida (Woolhouse) Jenson in 1934 and Melvin Jenson in 1988.
A memorial service for Ed Jenson will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Gods Greater Glory Parish (Glendorado Lutheran Church) with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Barb Peterson will officiate.
