Thanks to a generous donation, the senior chaplain position at Elim Care and Rehab Center has become a named position..
The position is now the “Lawrence Wagstrom Memorial Chaplain.” Lawrence Wagstrom was the first full time chaplain with Elim Care. During the late 1970’s and into the 80’s Lawrence served Princeton, Milaca Elim and also the Elim Home in Watertown. Lawrence and his wife Ethel lived in Princeton during those years. They also both were residents of Elim when they passed away.
Lawrence and Ethel’s daughter, Lois Wagstrom, and her husband Lou Feagles made the donation to the Elim Care chaplaincy endowment fund. The annual earnings from this fund will help off-set the cost of the chaplaincy ministry at Elim Princeton.
The current senior chaplain, Dan Osborn, is pictured here outside of his office. The new plaque reflects the naming of the position. Osborn has served as chaplain since 2005. He has humbly carried on the great ministry begun by Lawrence Wagstrom of serving in the spirit of Christ’s love.
