Johnson wins two races at Bluejacket Invite

Junior Nicholas Johnson swam to first places in both the 50 Freestyle (22.6) and the 100 Freestyle (49.9) to lead the Princeton boys swim & dive team at the Jan. 25 Cambridge-Isanti Invite. The Tigers placed sixth at the meet won by Elk River.

Johnson teamed with Bailey Carlberg, Dustin Moinichen and Tommy Milam for a third-place in the 200 Freestyle relay. The group rallied to place higher than Chisago Lakes and Duluth foursomes, finishing at 1:39.6.

• Johnson swam under the Class A state cut in both the 50 Free (22.2) and 100 Free (49.5) with personal-best times when the Tigers hosted Chisago Lakes Jan. 23. The Wildcats won the M-8 dual meet 96-85.
