BASKETBALL UPDATES:  In their lone action last week, the Princeton girls defeated visiting Little Falls 71-42 in a Jan. 4 non-conference basketball matinee. Leading the way for the Tigers were Haley Sandin scoring 20 points and Danielle Chmielewski with nine.

Sandin also collected seven of the Tigers’ 24 steals and finished with four assists. Jenna Doyle led on the boards with nine rebounds, and Sandin finished with eight.

Becker 85, Tiger Boys 70

Host Becker knocked off the Princeton boys basketball squad 85-70 in their Jan. 3 non-conference game. Caleb Scharber hit 3-of-6 three-pointers to lead the Tigers with 25 points against the Bulldogs.

Brady Peterson scored 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds for Princeton. Jack Sinkel scored 14 points to go with five rebounds, and Marqus Flicek added 12 points. Tanner Kinnney led Princeton with four assists, and Sinkel finished with four steals.

•  On Monday, Jan. 13,The Princeton boys will take on Buffalo at 7:45 p.m. on the Hallenbeck Hall court of the St. Cloud State University campus.
