Tigers blank Jackets

IMG_0569Maggie Peterson (23, left) harassed the Bluejackets’ Kate Olson then went on to score the hat trick in a 5-0 Princeton girls hockey win at Cambridge-Isanti-Mora-Pine City Jan. 23. Peterson sandwiched goals around an Erica Schramel goal in less than a two-minute span for a quick 3-0 lead in the first period. Peterson got her third goal just 1:59 into the second.

Senior captain Abby Smithling got the puck out of the Tiger end (right) as the defense held the Bluejackets scoreless. Kara Schramel finished with 33 saves in the shutout, and Larkin Walter added a third-period goal for icing on the win.
