Two Tiger wrestling champs at SC Falls invite

Tim Bialka at 132 and Billy McClay at 170 both won their weight classes at Saturday’s St. Croix Falls Invitational. The Tigers finished fifth among the 17 teams wrestling, with Hudson, Wis. winning the tourney.

After a first-round bye, Bialka used a pin and a technical fall to reach the finals where he defeated Bronson of Hudson 5-4. McClay began the tourney with two pins and a 14-4 major, then he decisioned Chetek’s Wozniak 7-3 for the title.

Jake Pramann placed second at 160, stacking up two decisions and a major to reach the championship match won by Luck-Frederic’s Britton 11-6.

Dylan Auren at 138 and Brent Chambers at 195 both placed third for the Tigers, going 3-1.

• The Tigers fell to Rogers 36-28 in the Jan. 24 inter-division conference match. Picking up pins on the Royals were Bialka and McClay.
