Princeton girls basketball picked up a 66-45 win over Milaca in the non-conference intercounty rivalry Jan. 31. Jenna Doyle worked for the double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds while swatting away four shots by the Wolves.

Danielle Chmielewski came through with 16 points and six rebounds, and Taylor Laabs scored 13 for Princeton. Also playing well in the victory were Haley Sandin (11 points, six steals), Andie Jackson (seven rebounds) and Ashley Schramel (five assists).

• The Tigers dropped their two Mississippi 8 games over the last week, beginning with a 76-27 loss Jan. 30 to St. Michael-Albertville who is still undefeated in conference contests. On Feb. 3, Buffalo got past Princeton 75-66. Sandin led the Tigers with 26 points.

Princeton boys beat Magic

Princeton boys hoops out-scored visiting Monticello 13-10 in overtime to record a 101-98 victory Jan. 30. Jack Sinkel led the way with 30 points over the Magic. Adding points on the board for the Tigers were Tanner Kinney (20), Caleb Scharber (14), Aaron Embertson (13), Brady Peterson (11) and Reed Mitchell (6).

• The next evening, host St. Michael-Albertville rang up a 73-64 win over the Princeton boys.
