A proud Princeton swim & dive coach Lindsy Paurus watched her boys collect the first-place trophy at the Feb. 8 Taconite Invite at Mesabi East. The Tigers totaled 232 points to better the host Giants’ 214 amid the northern teams competing.

Coach Paurus: “What a fantastic meet! The divers started it off putting us 18 points in the lead at the start of the swimming portion, and we never lost the lead.

Tiger divers Bailey Carlberg (339.3), Dustin Moinichen (325.5), Levi Swanson (personal-best 256.7) and Parker Carlberg (217.0-PB) placed second, third, fourth and seventh in their session. Nicholas Johnson swam to gold in the 50 Freestyle (22.6) and 100 Free (50.3), with Luke Paplham taking first in the 200 IM (1:19.8) and fourth in the 100 Fly.

The Tigers will be gearing up for their next competition, the Section 2A prelims and finals at Richfield H.S. Feb. 20 & 22.
