Delores Johnson

Delores Edith Johnson, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2014, surrounded by her family, at the Elim Care Center in Milaca. She was born December 4, 1925 in Spencer Brook to Albert and Anna Johnson. On June 4, 1947 she married Ernest A. Johnson. Four children were born to this union, Karen, Greg, Julie and Paul. Ernest and Delores lived in several places during the early years of their marriage as power line construction jobs brought Ernie to Wisconsin, South Dakota and many Minnesota locations. In 1959 they bought Ernies family farm where she lived until just last month in the care of Julie and Brian.
Delores was a very faithful member of Glendorado Lutheran Church, active in Circle, Ladies Aide and quilting. She enjoyed traveling with Ernie, gardening and camping with her family. Most of all, Delores adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Terry) Anderson of Cambridge, Greg (Anita) Johnson and Julie (Brian Duffy) Johnson of Princeton and Paul Johnson of St. Paul; grandchildren Jenny and Carrie Anderson and Matt and Tate Johnson; great-grandchildren Adalynn and Aldon Johnson; siblings Mabel Anderson, Roy Johnson, Ray (Arlene) Johnson, Ruby (Bob) Aleckson, John Johnson, Jerry (Barb) Johnson and Sharon (Jim) Skarohlid; sister-in-law Penny Hanson and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ernie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alvin (Ruby) and Iver (Harriet) Johnson, Leslie Johnson and LaVerne Johnson.
A Funeral Service for Delores will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, March 14, 2014 at Gods Greater Glory Parish-Glendorado Lutheran Church, Princeton, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the Glendorado Lutheran Cemetery in Princeton, MN
