Tiger Track stretches legs at St. John’s Indoor

Princeton track & field headed to St. John’s University for an indoor time trial meet on Saturday, March 22. The meet was a good warm up session with no team points compiled.

Coach Tom Ostroot’s observations from the competition for the Tiger Girls: “Sprinters looked good early with three girls under 7.70 seconds in 55-meter dash and two under 1:10 in 400. More highlights came from Anna Oakes in the 200, Taylor Laabs in the long & triple jumps, Katie Bialka in the 55 hurdles and Lydia Arens in the 1600.”

Tiger Boys highlights from Coach Ostroot: “The brightest spot we saw at this meet was in the triple jump where we had two at 40’ or better. Billy McClay, in his first time triple jumping, is within one-foot of the school record. More bright spots came from Tanner Palmborg in the 55 dash, Chase Arens in the 1600, Luke Warren in the 200 and  Cole Warren who threw over 42’ in the shot put.”

The Tigers will send a group of athletes to the Grade Level Select meet at St. Thomas University on March 26. Their next indoor meet is at the Mississippi 8 Indoor hosted by Monticello on April 1 (4 p.m.).
