Police Report: Week of April 17

Monday, April 7

8:25 a.m. A portable massage table was located behind a dumpster at ShopKo.

1:50 p.m. A Mizuno volleyball backpack containing a Nook, cellphone, Xbox controller, and four video games was located at a playground on Seventh Avenue S.

9:11 p.m. Assisted Sherburne County deputies with a traffic stop where the driver was arrested on a warrant, drug possession and providing a false name to a police officer.

Tuesday, April 8

9:14 a.m. A garage door was found open on a foreclosed home in the 700 block of Sixth Avenue N.

9:17 a.m. A vehicle theft was reported. Complainant purchased a vehicle the prior week. It was taken without permission and recovered in Zimmerman by the State Patrol.

11:35 a.m. A vulnerable adult was reported missing.

12:46 a.m. A possible assault was reported at the high school pool. Incident under investigation.

4:05 a.m. A person in the 700 block of Sixth Avenue N. reported that a man with an Indian accent hacked into a computer and demanded money and account information.

Wednesday, April 9

11:09 a.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County deputies with an accident at Highway 169 and Rum River Drive N.

3:15 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County deputies with an accident at Highway 95 and 140th Avenue.

4:15 p.m. The possible burglary in a garage was reported in the 300 block of Sixth Avenue S.

4:16 p.m. A back door to a residence in the 400 block of Fourth Avenue S. was reported to be kicked in.

4:50 p.m. The strong smell of gas was reported in the 300 block of 11th Avenue S. Scene was cleared by fire chief.

5:05 p.m. A resident at the Elim Home was reported to have a firearm in violation of an Elim policy banning firearms. Police confiscated two firearms.

7:23 p.m. The theft of $540 in cash was reported at the Elim Home.

11:50 p.m. Casey’s North reported a gas drive-off of $50.52.

Thursday, April 10

3:34 a.m. A female was arrested in the 800 block of Rum River Drive N. on a warrant for fifth-degree assault.

9:34 a.m. A theft was reported in the 1900 block of Fifth Street N.

10:07 a.m. Holiday reported a gas drive-off of $30.01.

4:33 p.m. Received a complaint of an individual sleeping all day inside the Princeton Area Library.

5:49 p.m. A vehicle struck a bicycle in the 1400 block of 15th Avenue N. Victim transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

6:33 p.m. A garbage can in a park in the 1200 block of Seventh Avenue N. was set on fire by a group of juveniles. The act was caught on surveillance cameras. Suspects were identified. Parents were informed of incident.

7:24 p.m. A deceased dog was located in a suitcase in an alley in the 100 block of Rum River Drive N.

9:01 p.m. Officers had owners of a tattoo parlor in the 300 block of Rum River Drive N. take down a “honk if you have a tattoo sign” due to excessive honking.

Friday, April 11

2:24 a.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with a report of cows on the road in the 3900 block of 85th Avenue. When officer arrived the cow jumped back over the fence.

10:26 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with a report of an armed suicidal male on 150th Avenue at Highway 95. Officers were unable to locate the individual.

Saturday, April 12

6:40 p.m. Received a report that a little boy was chasing cars with a hammer on Third Street N. at 12th Avenue N.

7:31 p.m. Received a complaint of multiple gunshots. While investigating, officer heard multiple gunshots east of the river in the County Road 1 area. Mille Lacs County notified.

7:46 p.m. An intoxicated male was located laying in a ditch near Casey’s North. Officer transported man to the home of a relative.

Sunday, April 13

1:30 p.m. An 18-year-old female was cited for theft at Walmart.
