The wind was whipping out of the north, but at least the sky was sunny when the first Mississippi 8 East golf meet was held this season at Falcon Ridge GC. Princeton girls golf finished in third place with a 437 as Cambridge-Isanti led that day with a 397 total.

Leading the Tigers was Mikayla Brooks who finished second with a 90 to C-I’s Jade Newman (86). Bri Dorr came in at 109 for the Tigers, followed by Kelsey Dorr at 114 who marked a par in her first varsity 18-hole meet and Katie Hicks at 124.

The Tigers head east again on Monday, April 28 for the annual Purple Hawk Invitational hosted by Cambridge-Isanti. Twenty teams are expected at the invite, including several Section 7AAA squads.
