Like every other spring sport, auto racers are itching to break loose as soon as the weather hits a drier pattern. The Princeton Speedway postponed its 2014 season-opener from May 2 to Friday, May 9 with races beginning at 7 p.m.
Races take place on Friday evenings throughout spring and summer, all the way to the Aug. 29 season championship night. Mixed in the schedule are special event nights, such as the May 16 “Armed Forces Night” (free admission with military ID), the May 23 Don Roseen Memorial Super Stock Special and the May 30 Billy Anderson Memorial UMSS Sprint Car races.
There will again be two “Kids Nights” at the Speedway this season– June 13 and July 18. In between will be a fun Fourth of July Celebration for the midway point on the schedule. Ticket prices for the “Fastest Quarter Mile on Dirt” are $12 fro adults ($10 for seniors 60-older), $5 for children 6-12, and children under 5 are free.
