A woman had her car stolen after trying to be a Good Samaritan on a county road just southeast of Princeton.
The suspect was lying on the shoulder of the road with a bike on top of him, prompting the woman to stop in an effort to help the suspect, Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott said. When the victim stopped to provide assistance, the suspect ran to the victim’s car and started to drive away.
The woman attempted to stop the suspect and was pushed from the moving car as the suspect fled, Brott said. The woman suffered minor injuries as a result of the struggle.
The suspect is a white male, early 20’s, black hair, 5 foot 8, between 160-180 pounds, Brott said. At the time of the incident he was wearing no shirt and black pants.
The stolen car is a 2001 Silver 2-door Pontiac Grand Am with a Minnesota license plate of XNE-531.
