Pearl Engebretson

Pearl Engebretson, age 90, of Northwood, ND, formerly Princeton, MN passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood, ND.
Pearl was born September 21, 1923 in McVille, ND, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Thompson) Jacobson. She grew up and attended school in Kloten. Pearl married Bertram Dronen in 1943 in Finley where they made their home until 1968 with their four children Joyce, Cliff, Neil and Mavis. They then moved to Lexington, MN where Pearl worked as a home health care nurse for the Anoka County Courthouse for 13 years. Pearl later married Wes Engebretson on May 2, 1992 and they lived in St. Francis for four years until they moved to Princeton, MN. Pearl loved going to bluegrass festivals, playing organ and accordion by ear, attending Bible study, camping, reading, playing bingo and visiting with family and friends.
Pearl will be missed and remembered by her daughter Joyce Fliflet of New Ulm, MN; son Neil Dronen of Thailand; step-daughters Wanda (Richard) Clow of Hallock and Sharon Green of Princeton; nine grandchildren Debbie, Mike, Sue Ann, Darrin, Alison, Marisa, Amy, Vincent and Jake; eight step-grandchildren Tanya, Paul, John, Sara, Mark, Peter, Christine and Stephanie and many great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ernest, husband Bert, husband Wesley, son Clifford and daughter Mavis.
Memorial services for Pearl will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Finley Lutheran Church, Finley, ND. Interment will be in the Finley Cemetery. Arrangements with the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel.
Memorials may be made out to the Finley Cemetery Association.
