Princeton Plice Report: Week of July 16

The Princeton Police Department received the following reports July 7-14, 2014. The listed times are when the reports were made and not necessarily when incidents occurred. This report was compiled by Joel Stottrup.

 

Monday, July 7

1:44 p.m. Disturbance – possible domestic. Male gone upon arrival.

2:45 p.m. Two-vehicle, no-injury collision at Highway 95 and 75th Avenue.

10:11 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with traffic control at Rum River Drive N. and Brickton Road where a vehicle was on its side.

Tuesday, July 8

4:02 a.m. Car alarm went off on vehicles. Report of a half case of Bud Lite beer missing from back of truck box on 900 block of Third Street N.

8:58 a.m. Vehicles reported gone through in the area of the 1200 block of Third Street S. and small change was reported taken.

10:17 a.m. Unknown person went through a vehicle on the 300 block of Tenth Avenue N. the night before. Small change was reported taken.

11:20 a.m. The manager of Family Dollar reported that a male attempted to leave the store without paying for a jar of French vanilla powdered Coffee Mate and that when the manager stopped him, the jar fell out of his pants. The suspect left the store prior to an officer’s arrival. The manager asked that the individual be trespassed from store.

12:40 p.m. It was reported that someone the night before entered two vehicles parked in the driveway along the 1400 block of Meadow View Drive and stole small change.

6:24 p.m. Resident having issues with a squirrel that was acting strangely. Officer advised of options.

9:25 p.m. Report of fireworks possibly thrown at a vehicle on Highway 95 near Riebe Park. Fishermen nearby reported that the fireworks may have been thrown from a vehicle. No damage was reported.

Wednesday, July 9

11:05 a.m. Little Dukes reported a gas drive-off for a $50 loss. The vehicle described as a red Camaro.

12:55 p.m. Motor vehicle accident at 308 Rum River Drive S. Person transported to hospital.

1:07 p.m. Firefighters and CenterPoint Energy responded to a report of a gas leak on the 300 block of 19th Avenue N.

7:53 p.m. Theft report received from city resident. Turned out theft occurred outside city. Report given to deputy.

11:19 p.m. Report of male causing problems and getting into altercation with others in yard. The male was released to a sober adult parent but later was arrested for disorderly conduct stemming from another incident.

Thursday, July 10

1:18 a.m. Male, 23, arrested and cited for disorderly conduct and booked into jail for release when sober.

10:58 a.m. Subject called asking for help. Officer said person was extremely intoxicated. The caller was taken by ambulance to hospital for evaluation.

11:13 a.m. Disturbance – report of female walking around parking lot yelling at people. Unable to locate.

9:26 p.m. Female, 32, arrested and cited for burglary.

Friday, July 11

6:22 a.m. Rollover on Highway 169.

7:24 a.m. Assisted State Patrol at Rum River Drive N. exit and Highway 169.

9:09 a.m. Warrant arrest for Dakota County.

9:42 a.m. Gas leak reported at residence. Residence cleared. Slight leak found at gas meter. Firefighters shut gas off and CenterPoint contacted.

12:36 p.m. Red Next bicycle found.

2:16 p.m. Numerous modems reported stolen from vehicle. Male, 34, arrested.

3:03 p.m. Two license plates stolen. Recovered in Andover.

3:36 p.m. Maroon Mercury Mountaineer reported stolen.

4:06 p.m. Report of possible burglary scam or burglary scope.

5 p.m. Accident on Highway 95. State Patrol wrote report.

9:49 p.m. Stopped vehicle for outstanding warrant on registered owner. Found meth and drug paraphernalia in vehicle and arrested driver, a male, 43, for possession of a fifth-degree controlled substance, no insurance, expired driver’s license and warrants. Booked into jail and $942 in cash forfeited.

9:01 p.m. Circle 9 Marathon reported someone attempted to pass a $50 counterfeit bill.

Saturday, July 12

2:59 a.m. Three juvenile males acting suspiciously in area of Sterling Pointe.

3:46 a.m. Observed male stumbling on shoulder and flailing his arms. Subject on probation and had blood alcohol content of 0.11. Officer advised subject to call it a night and go home.

11:12 a.m. Gas drive-off at Little Dukes. Person to be cited.

12:34 p.m. Male, 20, arrested for domestic assault.

9:21 p.m. Woman reported hearing a possible explosion north of her residence. Officer spoke to subject who said he had tried to light a fire using gasoline and used too much. Was not injured. Officer advised him to take refuse to Sylva’s compost site.

Sunday, July 13

10:05 p.m. Brought blue Trek mountain bicycle found near Sterling Pointe to police station.
