Ryan Douglas Dodds

Ryan Douglas Dodds, son of Ray and Janelle (Edmonds) Dodds was born in Princeton, MN, October 20, 1990. He graduated from Princeton High School in 2009. Ryan joined the Marine Corp in October of 2009 and served for four years. He returned to Alexandria, MN where he was attending school to pursue a career in Marine Biology specializing in fisheries.
Ryan had many passions in life, including hunting, fishing, golfing, cooking, boating, friends, family, animals, living life and helping others. His love of the lake and cabin inspired him to get a jet ski, which he loved riding. Ryan was a great person to be around, his infectious smile was contagious and you couldnt help but to laugh and smile when you were with him. He was also known for his squeeze hugs; you should consider yourself very lucky if you got one.
Ryan passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home on Maple Lake, Alexandria, MN.
He is survived by his parents, Janelle and Ray; brother, Jay; many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ford and JoAnne Edmonds and Walter and Ethel Dodds; uncles, Jay Edmonds and Daryl Dodds.
Military honors will be presented at his service, held at Jeff Edmonds residence, Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 4-7 p.m., service at 4:30. Honorary pallbearers are Jake Healy, Randy Haavisto, Joshua Edmonds, Tyler Pangrel and Ben Kettelhodt.
