Still got your marbles?
Then bring some along to a fascinating look at marbles presented by Pat Abraham, avid marble collector, at the Princeton Library community room on Thursday, August 21 at 6:30 p.m.  Abraham will share the fascinating history of marbles, their types , styles and value, and will display marbles from her collection.  Attendees are encouraged to bring some of their own marbles to learn more about them, and to share stories about marble games. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Princeton Library and will include free refreshments.

Women’s fellowship in Oxlip
The Oxlip Free Church Women’s Fellowship Brunch on Sept. 13 will feature a dramatization of Miss Corrie ten Boom by Pati Kachel of the Parable Fund (www.theparablefund.org). Corrie ten Boom and her courageous family helped hundreds of Jewish people during the Nazi occupation of Holland during World War II. Pati Kachel authentically portrays Corrie recalling “The Hiding Place” years. Listeners will be deeply touched by the wisdom and insight of this unforgettable communicator of God’s love, hope and forgiveness. The event begins at 10 a.m. Advance sale tickets for the brunch are $5, and a freewill offering will be taken for Pati. History of Ojibwe in Minnesota
Visitors to the Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post this summer can join a new program about the history of Ojibwe in Minnesota. Plus, workshops for children and adults offer hands-on instruction in Ojibwe arts and crafts. Called “We Are Anishinaabe: Our Migration Journey,” the program will be offered at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Aug. 23. Fee: $8 adults, $7 seniors and college students, $6 children ages 6-17; free for children age 5 and under and Minnesota Historical Society members.

Dance Time
Join the Princeton American Legion Post 216 and Legion Auxiliary Unit 216 for the monthly Dance Time from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, August 28 in the back room at the Princeton VFW, 505 Rum River Drive N. Performing for the group this month is Dick Szyplinski. The cost is $6 and includes lunch. Everyone is welcome.
