110 years ago – 1905
The cold weather has caused many delays in the running schedule on the passenger train on this line and also in the freight for that matter. The passenger was two hours late Monday morning but has been making very good time since, considering the character of the weather.
T. H. Caley will make some improvements in his starch factory the coming summer. He will put in a new battery of boilers and also build new drying rooms in the factory. He expects to expend about $7,000 in the improvements.
The calico ball which the Maccabee ladies gave at the Maccabee hall on last Tuesday evening was a most attractive  and  interesting social event.
