Victory over Becker boosts Tigers in M8 race

gbasketballdefense.jpgA huge win over Becker last week has the Tigers within striking distance of the conference crown.

Princeton is now 9-4 in the conference. They have one more game played than Rogers who is 8-4. Both teams trail St. Michael-Albertville who is 9-3.

The Princeton duo of Mariah Clarin (40) and Katie Loberg (25) combined for 42 points and 29 rebounds during Princeton's 62-60 victory over Becker. 

 
Poor shooting sinks Tigers in two contests

The Tigers have five games left in the regular season after the team lost conference games against Monticello Feb. 10 and Becker Feb. 13.

The Tigers will play at Rogers Feb. 17 and will play at Big Lake Feb. 19. Princeton defeated the Hornets 76-73 Dec. 29. Princeton coach Eric Bjurman said the Hornets are similar to the Tigers in that they rely on their quickness and their guard play.
 
Home stretch favors Princeton girls team

As the season is winding down the Tigers still find themselves in the thick of the race for the Mississippi 8 Conference crown.

The team defeated St. Michael-Albertville 69-61 Feb. 3 in St. Michael before losing to Buffalo 50-49 on the road Feb. 6.
